Muhammad Saeed currently serves as the Clinical Research Director with HRMD Research. Muhammad began his clinical research career in 2003 and has held various key positions in clinical research management. He has over 15 years of research experience in conducting clinical trials in various therapeutic areas including Pain management, Musculoskeletal disorders, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Endocrinology & Metabolic diseases, Gastrointestinal diseases both in United States and abroad.

Currently, he is finishing his Master of Science from the Johns Hopkins University. He is a graduate from Dow Medical College.

He has been a co-author of various randomized control trials as well as systemic analyses and has been a co-author in the encyclopedia of public health, published by Elsevier Science. In past, He has worked on projects with faculty from Children’s Hospital, Boston and the Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Kashif Irfan

Dr. Irfan is a pain management specialist with an interest in painful conditions of the spine, including chronic lower back and neck pain. In addition, he treats a wide variety of pain syndromes including headaches, extremity pain, and pelvic pain as well as painful medical conditions such as fibromyalgia and neuropathy. Dr Irfan believes that the best outcomes for patients with chronic pain are achieved with a multi-modal approach utilizing medications, physical therapy, spinal manipulation and advanced injection therapy, as well as counseling and psychotherapy. Dr. Tian Zhao

Dr. Zhao grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated a proud Longhorn from UT Austin. She attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was then swept off to the Windy City where she completed her residency in anesthesiology from University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. Dr. Zhao happily moved back to Dallas to settle near family and pursued her longtime interest in the field of interventional pain management. Dr. Amr Zidan

Dr. Amr Zidan is an American Board Certified Physician in Anesthesiology with a Subspecialty Board Certification in Pain Management and has an added certification in Fellow of Interventional Pain Physician (FIPP). He graduated from Ain-Shams University School of Medicine in 1990 after which he finished his first residency and earned a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Zidan then successfully completed his second residency in Anesthesiology and his fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston Texas.

At UTMB Dr. Zidan also served as Chief Resident, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Management, and Assistant Director of the Operating Rooms. In 2004, Dr. Zidan moved to the UT Southwestern Medical Center and served as Director of the Pain Management Fellowship. Later, he also was the Director of the Operating Rooms and Perioperative services at the Dallas VA Medical Center followed by Chair of Department at Tawam Hospital in UAE. Currently, Dr. Zidan is an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Zidan has multiple publications and research projects. He has given multiple lectures and taught various courses in the field of Anesthesia and Pain Management. Dr. Zidan is an active member of several American and International Medical societies.

Dr. Donald D. Bacon

Dr. Bacon has been practicing pain medicine for over 36 years. He graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1974 and completed his residency in Anesthesiology in 1977. He has been board certified in anesthesia and was subspecialty certified in pain management in 1996.

Dr. Bacon has had extensive experience with the management of chronic pain and has utilized multiple modalities for the appropriate management of this debilitating problem. He has been recognized as a leader in several modalities including spinal and peripheral stimulation, intrathecal administration of medication, and other interventional techniques. He has participated in multiple clinical trials for several of these procedures and has been a lecturer and instructor for courses teaching other specialists to better utilize these modalities for over twenty years. Dr. Bacon has also participated in numerous clinical trials for utilization of oral and intrathecal medications. He has co-authored several articles concerning these procedures and medications in the peer reviewed literature.

Dr. Bacon has been and remains active in several national subspecialty organizations and is board of directors emeritus for the Texas Pain Society. This organization has been active in education on appropriate management of pain and has been instrumental in working with the state legislature enabling specific laws concerning pain management in the state of Texas.

Dr. Dennis Gumbrecht

Anesthesiology & Interventional Pain MedicineDr. Gumbrecht grew up in the Midwest and was a practicing automotive engineer where his interest aligned in occupant safety. During this time, he worked alongside orthopedic surgeons and hospital scientists, which sparked his interest in medicine and led him to making a life changing decision to pursue medicine. Dr. Gumbrecht graduated his anesthesiology residency from the prestigious Loyola Medical Center of Chicago.

Following his mechanical background he pursed Interventional Pain Medicine and graduated from Rush University of Chicago where he trained with nationally recognized professors. Dr. Gumbrecht enjoys discovering new destinations and getting his passport stamped along with his wife. Paralleling travel, his interest includes learning foreign language and enriching life through new cultural experiences. He speaks elementary Korean and is learning mandarin Chinese.

Dr. Gumbrecht understands that each patient’s condition is unique and pain occurs for numerous reasons. This is why he practices a multi-faceted tailored approach when treating his patients. Dr.Gumbrecht takes pride in educating his patients on their conditions; this includes discussing treatment plans that encompass medications, procedures, therapies, and expectations.

Dr. Gumbrecht’s focus of treatment is not limited to the spine; he is well versed on treating conditions such as hip, knee, extremity pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and headache. Dr.Gumbrecht’s training encompasses fluency in epidural and facet joint injections, sympathetic nerve blocks, radio frequency nerve ablations, spinal cord stimulation, and intrathecal pump management.

Dr. Alfredo Romero

Dr. Alfredo Romero is a graduate of University of Guayaquil School of Medicine where he obtained his M.D degree and received the Magna Cum Lauded Graduate Award. He continued his post-degree medical training in USA; first, he did his internship at Temple University Hospital, then his PM&R Residency at University of Chicago and finally completed his training with a Fellowship in Pain Management at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Dr. Romero has 12 years of experience treating patients with chronic pain with special interest in patients with back pain; his philosophy is to treat each patient with respect, compassion and using a multidisciplinary approach including physical therapy, pharmacologic management and wide variety of interventional procedures. He has worked as an Attending physician in Pain Clinics in USA as well as in the VA hospital in his country.

Dr. Romero is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Pain Management and member of American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoy his free time with his wife and daughter.

Dr. Obaid Malik

Dr. Malik is a Harvard-trained interventional management pain physician. He spent much of his childhood in the Midwest, and he has a profound appreciation for the friendly people in Texas.

He has received specialized training in interventional pain management procedures by the leaders in the field at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital. He has developed a deep knowledge of nerve blocks, join injections, epidural steroid injections, vertebral augmentation procedures, vertebral compression fractures, radiofrequency ablation, neuromodulation, spinal cord stimulation, complex regional pain syndrome, post-laminectomy syndrome, and post-surgical pain syndrome.

Dr. Malik has authored multiple peer reviewed journal articles, presented his research at national conferences, authored book chapters for researchers and pain management fellows, and he has also written research grants for the National Institute of Health (NIH). Dr. Malik’s current research includes the study of vertebral augmentation procedures (kyphoplasties) in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. His aim is to provide evidence-based pain treatment regimens with the highest standard of care to improve his patient’s quality of life.

In his free time, Dr. Malik enjoys watching college football, cooking, and spending time with his family. He is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Dr. Alan Sheydwasser

Dr. Sheydwasser was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania and he received a degree in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated Magnum Cum Laude.

He then earned his medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. During his last year of medical school, he performed his clinical rotations in Dallas and he developed a fondness for the city and its people. He then completed his internship, anesthesiology residency, and interventional pain management fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Dr. Sheydwasser believes in providing down-to-earth and compassionate care. He utilizes a multi-modal, evidence-based approach to provide individualized treatment options with the goals of minimizing pain while improving function and quality of life. He has performed research on improving communication between patients and their doctors and he is interested how technological advancements and medical research can improve the lives of those suffering from chronic pain.

In his free time, Dr. Sheydwasser enjoys spending time with his family and friends, travelling, cooking, and sampling food and wine from around the world. He is excited to return to Texas and serve the communities of Dallas and Fort-Worth.

Dr. Amr Morsy

Dr. Amr Morsy is an American Board Certified Physician in Anesthesiology and fellowship trained interventional pain specialist in Dallas, Texas. He received his fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at Solar Health System – Texas Pain Physicians; completed his Anesthesia training at St. Vincent Hospital New York Medical College and Internal Medicine internship at Boston University Roger William Hospital. Dr. Morsy earned his medical degree from Cairo University School of Medicine and graduated top of his class and has been in practice for over 18 years.

Dr. Morsy believes that the best outcomes for patients with chronic pain are achieved with a multi-model approach utilizing medications, physical therapy, spinal manipulation and advanced injection therapy, as well as counseling and psychotherapy. Dr. Morsy aims to restore functionality to his patients quickly, and help them achieve their highest quality of life.

He is an active member of multiple local and national medical societies dedicated to the treatment of chronic pain.

Dr. Aamer Agha

Dr. Aamer Agha has been performing colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and capsule endoscopy procedures since 2005. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Texas in Austin, his residency was done at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Agha completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology, also at Baylor College of Medicine. He has also published several papers in medical literature pertaining to Gastroenterology.
